I’m finally home after a long day of hanging out with this mad man!! I want to keep him mysterious because it’s kind of fun, and for a few other reasons haha. It’s kind of fun though. But soon soon. I promise ;) This is how we spent our day:
First M had a bball tourney which I blogged from earlier but could not post because the internet connection at UMass was in and out. Ugh!
This is another reason why I’m looking into the Sony camera because this one has run it’s course :)
We ate at Taco Mex in East Boston. Great place. Authentic Mexican and Latin cuisine. Very very good. I got a steak dinner. It was called Montanero. Haha. He ordered and I like usual, wasn’t ready to order so I said, “I’ll have the same thing and a Corona Extra.” Today was a special day so I just went all out :D Happy Birthday America, and with this meal, Happy Birthday to me!!
The dish was Columbian.
We headed to Revere Beach after where walking was definitely in order. Full tummies needed exercise. No resting on this thing today. No, no, no.
The sky was so beautiful. Very blue and since the beach has been reconstructed, everyone and their mother’s mother was there. Literally! The water is cleaner and doesn’t smell anymore and people were actually swimming. We used to live in this area a couple of years ago. I’ll point out the area coming up. I made fun of these lifeguards. The girl told the guy not to put it up because it was too windy… but he insisted… MEN, I TELL YA!
Down… and…
UP! Haha, she was screaming “Noooo! I told you!!”
This is driving down Revere Beach Blvd. Newly paved streets, sidewalks, and parking. Before there was no parking. Which resulted in only locals visiting the beach and slow business for business owners.
This is the famous Kelly’s Roast Beef. They have mostly fried seafood and ice cream. Great food! This is a new one. The old one was looking like an old shack, but surprisingly people still ate there. It’s a takeout only.
View of Boston on the road to Nahat, MA. Nahat is a small island off of Lynn, MA. It’s very Cape Cod-esque. Very large homes and beautiful landscaping. I’ve noticed the water on this beach is warmer than Revere’s. Maybe because it’s smaller? Not sure. This one is cleaner also.
This is a cove we go to. It’s very clean here and there are a bunch of rocks. Usually when we go it’s just us and it’s so romantic. Well not this time. This place was packed with people. So I had to maneuver my photos around them. Shux!!
On the way back towards Lynn, headed home, we stopped here at the second to last beach to walk and feel the sand. At Revere Beach the tide was so low there was seaweed everywhere! Yuck! Here it was nice. He was trying to convince me to touch this cold water…
And so I rolled up my jeans and went for it. It was warm but my skin is sensitive and it takes awhile to get used to cool water.. well, warm water… any water! :P
This must be my signature face because if I go back I swear I always look like this.
This is one of the locations where the best homes are. Huge homes on the cliffs overlooking the water. I want :(
And oh yeah on the way I grabbed some new reading specs. I’ve noticed I’ve been squinting and refuse to go to an eye doctor so that they can poke at my eyeballs, so here we are. All better :)
Red wine and movie time. Hope everyone had a great 4th. I know I did.
Ciao- Q
