Sunday in the City

So, I remember saying that I really wanted to relax on Sunday but ended up shopping in Boston with M’s mom. My day was supposed to look like this:

Summit 2009 Weekend 040

Summit 2009 Weekend 052

Summit 2009 Weekend 047

… and it ended up like this:

Harvard Square. I’ve been there a lot but never knew there was a Curious George shop on the corner! It’s so cute in there. We went into LUSH.

Summit Weekend 2 007

LUSH- Fresh Handmade Cosmetics.I was looking for makeup and was “reprimanded” and told that they only carry natural products such as bath, shower, scrub, foot, and facial treatments. We did a hand treatment and let me tell you… it' was definitely on point :)

Summit Weekend 2 005

I only grabbed two bath melty ball things. The one in the top right is avocado. It’s called “Avo Bath”. She did a demonstration and dropped a ball in hot water and it fizzled up and smelled and felt AMAZING. I can’t wait to use mine. I can get two baths from the ball and I grabbed another one that is shimery and sparkly gold which I can get 3-4 baths out of it. I’m cheap tho. I’ll get 5-10 uses out of it. Trust me :D Hehehe *wicked laugh*. I’ll take pics when I actually use them. It’s more interesting that way lol.

 Summit Weekend 2 006

This was my attempt to take secret pics. I was told not to take pictures after the one of the “balls” because they dont want people stealing their designs. Basically there was all types of face masks in a bar that looked like a salad bar which I REALLY wanted a pic of but whatever. Next time *mwahh ha ha*. We headed over to Urban Outfitters after this great hand treatment at LUSH.

Summit Weekend 2 009

I love this place. It’s crap everywhere! My style lol. I grabbed some black nail polish, and a couple of shirts. I was tempted to buy more but I told myself NO!

Summit Weekend 2 013

My old boss brought us to this place a couple of times after our good ol’ quarterly meetings at the Harvard office for my old company. OM is what it’s called. OMMMMMMMM! As you can see they open the windows in the spring/summer seasons and there’s outdoor tables. They only have brunch and dinner. Pretty cool huh?

Summit Weekend 2 015

It was a hot sweaty mess-ass day but you know what, it cooled down once we got some lunch and vino in the shade.

Summit Weekend 2 019

Grilled cheese with fresh marmalade and homefries with ketchup.

Summit Weekend 2 021

Breakfast BLT.

Summit Weekend 2 020

Savignon Blanc. Delicioso!

Summit Weekend 2 018

Beautiful wall painting. That black wall on the side of it is a waterfall. Very chic and relaxing. This place was all about the feng-shui. Did I spell that right?! :)

Summit Weekend 2 022

Summit Weekend 2 023

I ended lunch with a coffee. These brown sugar cubes were SO GOOD. I’ve actually never had them in coffee or at all! We took the red line to Park and switched to the green for Copley and walked to ANRHTOPOLOGIE on Boylston :D Now let me tell you. This place is across the street from my old job in the Prudential and to work in Back Bay is no joke. You NEVER have money :( Too many sales.

Summit Weekend 2 026

I love the style and setup of this place. I don’t know one girl/woman that doesn’t! We headed up to the clearance area (who doesn’t?!?!) and I tried on a few shirts and really wanted one but ended up not getting anything because I saw this duvet. I’m saving for it I’ve decided :)

Summit Weekend 2 027

Isn’t it to die for? It reminds me of the bottoms of a wedding gown. The wooden tray is super cool too. I think I want that as well lol. We grabbed out extended family from South Station and headed home, north. My lovely boyfriend had this waiting when I got out of the shower…

014

I’m not gonna lie either. I also had some homemade tiramisu. His mom made it. I was craving something creamy and he ate all of the volcano cake and ice cream :(

Summit 2009 Weekend 037

I think I got drunk from this. It had a lot of rum that settled to the bottom in a caramel type of texture. SOOO GOOD. Try it at home :D My Sunday ended and my Monday began. I feel like I’m going back and forth in time. It’s kind of exciting.. xx.

I LOVE Lush products! I first saw their store in Canada way back when, and spent so much money there!

You look so beautiful! And yeah, that bedspread's pretty cool.
