P-Town Update

I have a boat-load of pics to upload tomorrow night when I get home!! :D So therefore, I will not have any right now. I’m such a tease. I know ;)

We made it to our inn here in Provincetown, MA for a fun-filled weekend alone here on this lovely gay-friendly “almost isle”. For those of you who don’t know anything about P-Town… it’s one of the most famous places in the US for the gays to go. I’m going to warn all of you who read this right now, don’t bother commenting on this post saying that I’m grammatically incorrect in what I say because I’m here, and I’m living in the moment and this place is nothing but perfect. So if you choose to be offended easily then please leave now because I’ll just delete your waste of time comment. Thank you :) *takes a bow*

P-Town is located at the farthest point on Cape Cod and looks something like this…

Good thing I was able to leave work early because as you can see, point A is where we live… good ol’ Billerica, MA just north of Boston. It was about a 2.5 hour drive. Not bad. We stopped for gas and coffee then jumped back on the road in Barnstable. I’m familiar with the Cape but have never gone this far.

M’s never been to Provincetown, and me either.  He said “oh man” when I told him where we were going. Now this is someone who is a “guys guy” and is not really the type to plan a weekend away so it’s usually my job :) lol. All I do is tell him which days to keep free in his calendar and that’s how we start the process.

He really had no idea there’d be guys walking around on the streets hand in hand, hugging, kissing, shopping together with their Chihuahuas and Pugs. Lol. This is our second day here and this morning after breakfast he says, “It’s so relaxing here, everyone just minds their own business.” THAT’S THE POINT! That is the reason why I chose this spot. If this is somewhere that homosexuals feel free and open then let me tell you, I couldn’t ask for more!!!

We were lucky enough to be here on the weekend of the Regatta. We walked down to the boat docks after we had breakfast at a Portuguese bakery and they were getting the boats ready. Also there was the Swim for Life. More details on both of these awesome events later.

The food is fabulous, the drinks are fabulous and the people are fabulous. Even though I was super exhausted by 8pm last night, we watched some tele, picked up a bottle of wine at a shop across the street and headed back. There is a restaurant downstairs called Grotta. WILD! Absolutely Wild! Well wait, Grotto is in the basement and there’s an outer entrance in front. Our inn is called Enzo and it looks like this:

Cool huh? So if you look at the little door on the bottom left where it says Enzo, that’s where the party lives. We stayed on the top left of the building in a room in the back. My only complaints are that we can hear the vibration of the kitchen fan and the party downstairs in Grotta don’t stop until 2am! :( I know, but I can’t get mad because I knew this place would be fun and “happenin”… if you will.

Due to the rain I don’t think we’ll be able to eat outside. But I’m still hoping that tonight we might.

We basically just came back to the room to relax for a few because we’re planning on staying out late tonight. We’ll see what we can get into. Haha. Ohhhh boy!

Ciao friends!
