Flax is Your Friend

TGIF!! So much has happened over the past couple of weeks. I've been relaxing and looking for a condo in Boston and I find out I'm being laid off. It's nothing bad I did, they just can't afford to keep me :( Instead of drinking my sorrows away I've decided to take my focus to personal development. This means family, work, and relationships. Oh and I found another job where I'll be starting immediately after my last day at PC. Very happy about that :)
I started eating cereal again. I heard that warm foods are best in the morning because they're easier to digest. Flax has been my friend for the past couple of weeks. It's helping keep me regular (sorry, but it does!!!) and keeps me full up until lunch, which is a MUST. I'm a Stonyfield girl, but while at Target I just decided to grab some Archer Farms organic milk. This is so good. So smooth. I'm going to stick with this for awhile for sure.

A couple of other things that have been making me really happy lately...

Coffee and protein :) Haha.

I had Chicken Mascarpone for the first time at Foccasia. It's a local Italian restaurant. I've been complaining to M that he isn't as spontaneous as he used to be, and he's been trying and this is one of the first steps lol.

The pic is pretty horrible since my iPhone doesn't have a cam, and the lights were very dim. But there was grilled chicken, asparagus, mushrooms, red peppers and cream sauce. Delish! I didn't finish it all and ate a little more at home. Love leftovers!

M made himself a salad the other night and didn't ask me if I wanted one. Now I could have been mad, but I was pretty proud of him... this is like the 4th thing I've seen him make on his own in the 4+ years we've been together haha. Must be a "man thing"... no? Lol. Oh... And he's taking me to Poland with him in October for his class reunion. So I'm brushing up on my Polish or... well I guess learning everything from point 'A' haha.

At least he keeps me entertained... Ha. And look what I found when I was looking through old emails from 2006!

Ahhhhhhhh those were the good ol' days! We go to Cape Cod every spring. This is one of the pics from our first trip there together. There's more but I'll save us both the embarrassment. I was so skinny and happy. This was actually the first weekend that I had without any Endometriosis pain in years.

Relaxation and lots of reading this weekend. Until next time...
